"By the breath of God ice is given..." Job 37:10

IceMan:
9 yr old registered Paint Horse
We met Iceman in 2007. God moved mountains to make a way for us to have this special horse. Iceman is not just unique in his “cool” quiet demeanor….he was a gift given at a time when our hearts had been shattered.
On May 5th 2007, my husband Jason received the news that his brother
Cpl Charles O. Palmer had been killed while serving in Iraq. That moment ushered in complete emotional devastation to our family.
Months of utter sadness drifted by. I watched as my husband sunk lower and lower in a pit of depression. He no longer had any enthusiasm about the Ranch or its future. I was starting to believe our dream might be dying.
In Sept. of 2007 God introduced us to a quiet paint horse named IceMan. With a series of events only God could orchestrate…Iceman came home to serve at the ranch. My husband had an instant connect with this little medicine hat paint horse and I began to see God use a horse to breath fire back into Jason’s soul.
Iceman is our #1 lesson horse…a favorite in our community. He has given hundreds of riding lessons to people of all ages. Iceman is a precious member of A Ranch of Light.
Update:
IceMan’s Eye Tattoo Procedure
Special thanks to all who contributed toward IceMan’s eye tattooing procedure! His ongoing battle with skin cancer on his fair eye lid motivated us to try the groundbreaking procedure of eye lid tattooing to help deflect the sun’s harmful rays and provide Iceman with better sun protection.
Both eye lids were tattooed with “eye liner” and the procedure proved to be successful on his right side but not his left. His left eye, also his blue eye apparently has to much damaged tissue for the tattooing to set in properly.
So good news for the right eye…and back to square one on the left. We will press forward with sunscreen and masks! Thanks for your help in our ongoing efforts to insure the best possible care for our amazing ranch horses!
