A Ranch of Light is operated by Jason & Aimee Palmer. Jason & Aimee have been married since 1995 and have been a part of the El Dorado County community for over a decade. Aimee has been a believer and follower of Jesus Christ since 1981 and has been raised, taught and fellowshipped at Calvary Chapel her whole life. Jason made a commitment to follow Christ as a teenager and has been a Christian since 1988. Jason has attended Calvary Chapel for the majority of his Christian walk and has a deep love and passion for his Savior! The Palmer’s have four children and believe it is a privilege to serve Christ as a family!
The Palmer’s passion for horses began in 2003, when they got their first horse.

Through an ongoing process of trial, error and utter desperation…The Lord faithfully wove amazing horse people to come alongside and mentor, guide and teach the Palmer’s about training God’s magnificent creation the horse!

Aimee is a CHA certified Horsemanship Instructor. During her journey with horses God has revealed much about His character as a Sovereign Master, Faithful Leader and Mighty God. The Lord has also used the horse’s wilfull nature to reveal a potent sinful nature in her own heart. God has used these “real life” metaphors to sharpen, reveal and bring to “Light” areas in her life that need to be confessed and submitted to her Master…Jesus Christ!
Aimee & Jason have a passion to give others the opportunity to have access to this massive, 1000lb “teaching tool” known as the horse. Their prayer is that others will witness the power, authority, love and compassion that their Savior, Jesus has shown them during their journey with His horses.

“Why”…….A Ranch of Light.
My heart for reaching youth at A Ranch of Light is to demonstrate and instruct youth in what it is to have an authentic walk with Christ. Our mission is to give the gospel of Jesus Christ to the unsaved but also to break through exteriors, especially for “churched” kids. As a child raised in a Christian family, I was brought up in a wholesome Christ loving environment. However, when my teenage years came into play…hanging my hat under how I was raised or my parent’s beliefs was not enough to withstand the fiery trials that tested my faith. It was not until I came out from under the umbrella of my parent’s relationship with Christ, that I was left with nothing but my own decisions, the consequences and the One that I had sinned against. It was then that I discovered my need to be saved! I needed Jesus as my own personal Savior and met Him first hand. He broke through the walls of my “Christianeze” and developed in me an authentic personal walk and accountability to my King. It was at that point…that any fruit or good thing that came from my life was a direct overflow of the work the Holy Spirit was doing in my heart. Obedience was no longer an outside “What” I do….but it was a “Why” that came from a pure heart….confessed and cleansed by a Merciful Savior.

We at A Ranch of Light pray that Christ uses all that He shows us to do…to sharpen, exhort, encourage, teach, mentor and display to your children His love and truth! Our prayer is that your child develops and grows a first hand personal relationship with Christ and the fruit from knowing their Savior will be the eyes He gives them for the lost!
Thank you for the opportunity to serve them!
